About Me:
I am within a semester of getting my Master's in Counseling at Central. I am a wilderness instructor so the list of outdoor sports I love is quite long, backcountry camping, mountain biking, rock climbing, white water canoe and kayaking, snow skiing ( I am really bad at this one, still on the bunny slopes at Telluride) are my current favorites. I throw pottery and do some folk art painting. My music tastes is ecletic ; Dave Mathews, Shawn Colvin, Paula Cole, Celtic bands, Grateful Dead, enya, bluegrass, but I draw the line at music played badly. I love dancing and have been known to start dancing at the drop of a hat in some odd places. I cook to relax. I garden when I can and thus I am ruined for eating most of the dreck avaliable in grocery stores. I am an avid reader of all types of story tellers from Tom Robbins, fantasy, Tim Cahill, Charles DeLint,I'm open as long as the writer spins a good yarn. I dream in color and love poetry. I have one cat who loves to land full speed on my keyboard. I like men I can go biking with then curl up to read the Sunday New York Times and watch Harold and Maude later in the evening. I love to laugh and am a sucker for cult films. I am a mixture of intense and laid back tendencies. I am southern and am still occasionally offended at the winters here in Michigan even though I have lived here for nearly ten years. I am forthright and ambitious and enjoy good debates/long conversations on almost any topic. I have earth-mother leanings but also love adventure and travel. I sidestep molds and preconceived ideas of what women "should" be. I have huge hazel eyes and thick reddish brown Irish hair and a wicked grin. I keep fit but not compusively so.
