About Me:
I'm new at this so bear with me...I'm recently separated from a 14 year marriage and have a 5 yr old son who is with me alternate weekends. I'm fully employed, almost 40, about 5'11, 185 lbs, brownish blonde hair and beard with a bit of grey creaping in. I love the outdoors (hiking, camping, canoeing, bicycling or the beach) but am equally happy inside curled up on the couch watching a movie with a good friend. I enjoy going out to a bar with someone, but I'm not interested in going to bars to meet someone. Other interests would be computers (obviously), genealogy, spicy foods and woodworking. Musically I like older rock, but will listen to almost anything but rap/punk.
What I'm looking for depends on the time frame. Right now I'm just getting used to the idea of dating again so I'm hoping to find a someone that I can be comfortable around, have some fun times with and can consider a friend. Within a few years I definately want a permanent partner. My separation was amicable and I have no bad feelings about relationships. How long it takes to get from the first to the second will depend entirely on who I meet and how things go. I'm definately looking more for a quality relationship than a quick one.
The woman I want as my partner will be a non smoker, social drinker who also enjoys the outdoors and has a slightly 'off' sense of humour to match my own. I'm not hung up on hair or eye colour, but would like a lady who takes care of herself physically as well as mentally.
