About Me:
I'm one of those people whose passion, energy,
idealism, and drive led me to take on huge challenges
(such as founding and directing a non-profit education
program for urban public school students) early on in
my career. Currently I teach in the Boston Public
Schools in an attempt to bring positive change to a
system in desperate need of repair. Call me crazy. The
upside is that I am at a point in my life where I have
learned to balance professional and personal needs. I
make time for relaxing with friends, practicing yoga
several hours a week, reading, listening to and
playing (when I can get my hadns on a piano) music,
going to museums, biking, hiking, camping, and being
in awe of the beauty in the world (sounds cheesy but
nature is my spiritual link). I have a strong inner
core, I am direct yet sensitive when I communicate
with others, I am affectionate and passionate, I love
laughing till it hurts, I am very fit (I have been
told I have a dancer's body), I love intellectual (but
not overly serious or pretentious) conversations, and
I highly value close, honest, fun, loving
relationships.
I am looking for a man who is passionate about what he
does, has a strong sense of self (confident, calm, and
collected, but not self-centered), knows what he wants
out of life and is driven to get it, cares about
social change and education,is comfortable with people
from different cultures, has a great sense of humor
(this includes being able to laugh at yourself), has
the ability to self-reflect and to sense what others
are feeling, cares about family, is flexible and open-
minded, enjoys unpretentious intellectual
conversations, and is not afraid to get close or
commit to a woman he values. Throw in some hipness,
creativity, love of the outdoors, and a fairly
fit/tall physique and I'm good to go.
