About Me:
I am a 33 year-old SWM, 5'7" and a fit 165#. Mind you, I'm certainly no Arnold Schwarzenegger - I can't see spending that much of my life in a gym when there are so many more fascinating and rewarding things in life. I keep fit by walking and practicing martial arts. I say that with some reluctance - some might immediately picture me as a pushy, egomaniac like the evil dojo guy from karate kid, or maybe Steven Segal. I'm nothing like that, though. I am imaginative, creative, and intelligent with a dry sense of humor. I've been told I have a unique way of looking at things that most folks find funny. I love doing active things in the outdoors - rollerblading, tennis, canoeing, gardening, and hiking, but I also like a good balance of relaxing things as well - reading, writing, playing the guitar, and anything that involves learning (in fact, I'm taking an acupressure class on Monday nights). As far as chivalry goes, sometimes I think I must have been meant to live in a bygone era. I almost feel self-conscious sometimes because I find that chivalry is so alien to folks these days. I actually had a woman glare at me in work because I held the door for her! I don't hold the door or any of the other things I would do for my princess because I think her incapable of doing them herself. On the contrary, my perfect match would be someone I really respect. I would do those things so that she would not have to do them herself. I think doing all those little things is an excellent way to show you care.
