About Me:
I am 6'2", relatively athletic, and fairly intelligent. I live in the mountains of eastern TN and love it! I'm well-traveled and get a thrill from traveling, whether it be a road trip or an international destination. My undergraduate degree is in engineering and my nearly-completed masters degree is in management (financial track)... and three courses later, an MBA. I'm currently taking a break from the technical sales world to teach high school math... what an experience! At the same time, I'm applying to my dream job; hopefully that process will be completed by summer 2003!
I'm looking for a partner for hikes, reading on the deck, watching TV, motorcycles rides (don't have one... but used to and will some day), working out, playing board games, back rubs, foot rubs, watching sunsets, Jacuzzi baths (eventually), cross-country road trips every few years, and most anything else. As you might have noticed, I'm not a party animal. I can be social but I prefer privacy. I'm independent -- but I still love to be with another person.
I'm generous with my time but stingy with my money. I am this way so that I can retire early and enjoy more of life doing what I want to do rather than working into my 60s. I feel the need to tell people this early on because... that's the way I am. I don't buy myself little things; I buy myself big things that I really want. Don't take this to mean that I don't spend any money. Let me 'splain a bit more. I might not buy dinner out every week... but I have been known to buy an airline ticket to an all-inclusive resort in the Caribbean. It is a tradeoff; many people get offended because I won't spend money on the little things. Oh well.
I was vegetarian for a while and enjoyed it. I wasn't a vegetarian in 2002... but would gladly go back to tofu, TVP, and veggies. It is possible that you'll find me doing strange things (for a guy, I guess) such as yoga or meditation. It is not a common thing, though, and I won't embarrass you in front of your friends.
