About Me:
Everyday, I say "thank you" and count my many blessings. In the past few years, I have become more compassionate for those who are less fortunate, or who have endured any form of loss or pain. I deeply value the abundance that life offers and would love to share it all with a best friend and partner. My passion is music.. play the Piano and some Guitar. Appreciate most genres of music but my favorites are jazz, classic rock, and classical. Love going to concerts, outdoor jazz festivals and symphonies. I love being at the coast... especially Beaufort, NC (quaint sailing village with waterfront shoppes / restaurants). I stay fit by practicing good nutrition and a variety of active sports.. weights, walking, hiking, biking, snow skiing, tennis and even doing yard work and gardening! I like to watch and attend UNC Tarheel football and basketball games. Great cook and "grill master", love to explore new restaurants, try new foods, wine tasting and picnics. Enjoy observing all types of animals and wildlife, and am fascinated with how how perfectly nature has been designed and works. Love dogs and don't mind "someone else's" cats.. would like to get a yellow lab once I own a house and have a yard. I grew up in Greensboro, NC and graduated from Carolina in 1980. Lived & worked in San Francisco area from 1987 - 1991. Loved the CA lifestyle (skiing Tahoe, Wine country, SF, Yosemite, diversity), but hated the traffic, high housing costs and earthquakes! Returned to NC "southern roots" in 1991 and have been in Chapel Hill ever since. I've traveled to most major US cities, western Europe (England, France, Spain, Italy, Holland, and Switzerland), and most recently, Australia. Currently trying to transition from an Information Technology and Management career into an area of more personal interest.. like environmental work or something music related.
