About Me:
Hi,
I’m a 59 yr-old British man, Sheffield born, but now
living in Leicester. I’m tall, average weight, brown
hair, brown eyes. I’m told that I look younger than my
age, which is reassuring, but doubtful. I have a
strange sense of humour, which some like, but others
don’t! As I inherited my humour from my father, who in
turn inherited it from his father, there’s nothing I
can do about it, nor want to do anything about.
I have been very unlucky when it comes to love and to
health, so I need to laugh, just to take my mind off
things.
I a lot of health problems, but I do my best not to
let them affect my life. Saying that, I had to retire
(too early) in 1997 though, at the age of just 38! I
used to be a research assistant in zoology and botany.
I miss the work, but I had a massive stroke, brought
on by stress and so couldn’t go back and do the same
job. As I narrowly escaped death and ‘saw’ the other
side, I’m happy to just try and relax and work on my
book.
I’ve been married twice, had one divorce and am very
proud to say that I’ve never cheated on my two wives,
nor have I lied to them.
Sadly, both of them cheated and lied to me.. bit of a
bummer huh?
I live in my own home, which I own, with my two
cats, Ruby and Pebbles. My home is small (3
bedrooms), but it’s big enough for two and I’ve only
got 3 yrs to pay on the mortgage!
My hobbies are music (I’ve an enormous cd collection)
and writing poetry and short stories. I’m working on
my first book, hopefully it’ll be published one day).
For those who know about these things.. my favourite
colour is green, my star-sign is Taurus, I prefer
mornings to evenings, I love all animals (big or
tiny), I’m Athiest, I don’t smoke, I rarely drink
alcohol, I never take recreational drugs. My dietry
preferences are varied, but I hate Indian food. My
choice of restaurant would be (in order of
preference ‘yes please’ to ‘no thanks’. Chinese,
Japanese, French, Italian, English/American, Italian,
Gree
Who I Would Like To Meet:
I’m looking for a lady who is prepared to be my soul-
mate in life, isn’t put off by my disabilities (see
above) and wants to be seen with me in public
(restaurants, bars, theatre etc.). Being disabled, I
cannot travel without assistance, so if there's anyone
out there, I'm afraid that you might have to travel to
me, unless I can get a friend to help me.
