About Me:
I'm 5'7', short blond hair, glasses, former jockette who has gone a bit soft. Love tennis, golf, movies and music of all kinds. When not playing in those areas I get my mental therapy by driving my convertible with the top down. I'm a liberal with a wish for more tolerance in the world. Have spent the last few years exploring different types of spirituality and find myself drawn to Buddhism and Native American beliefs. Adore intelligent conversation and am really looking for good friends more than soul-mates (but hopefully will not fail to recognize a soul-mate if he appears). Having been divorced for 28 years with one ten year relationship in the middle I have developed a life of my own. I have one adult daughter who is the light of my life and a handful of close friends who make up my "family". Equality in a relationship is important to me especially when both people can change their roles depending upon circumstances and moods. As much as I am proud of being able to deal with everything that life sends my way I also have the need to cry on someone's shoulder and let them point the way over the bumps. I've learned that life has pluses and minuses and life is at its fullest when we can allow ourselves to fully experience both. On the lighter side, I play tennis twice a !
week (singles only - appeals to my still competitive spirit), golf once a week and try to walk every night for at least an hour. Nature and music are my favorite companions. Oh, and yes, I do have a sense of humor especially when it comes to myself - I am who I am and make no attempt to hide it which often results in a few good laughs.
