About Me:
Gregarious, fine character, tender hearted, giving,
sweet, honorable, sincere, gentle, dedicated, serious,
intelligent, quiet strength, a great sense of humor,
quick wit, these are just a few of the adjectives that
have been used to describe who I am. When was the last
time you had your man open a door for you or light
your cigarette, or offer to seat you first, before he
sat down? Chivalrous? Perhaps ... I call it respect
and a demonstration of human kindness. The world could
use a lot more of that. I'm a bit of a romanticist. I
thrive on the candle lit dinners, the cozy little
coffee shops where sometimes, without even saying a
word, you can almost tell what the other is thinking.
I enjoy walking hand-in-hand as we stroll along a
quiet street or the riverfront under a star filled
night sky. I've been known to just fill up the gas
tank and drive without any particular destination,
stop for coffee and then drive back home. I cherish
the moments that two can share cuddled up on the
family couch while watching TV, or the reassuring
touches two can share as they would pass through the
hallway or in the kichen. When was the last time
someone, for no reason at all, came up behind you
while you were fixing dinner and gave you a hug? Or
brought home flowers just to say you are appreciated?
Am I offering a rose garden? No ... just me. In either
case, whether it be a rose garden or a successful
relationship, it takes work, it takes trust, it takes
respect, it takes open honest communications between
two souls in the mental, physical, emotional and
spritual realms. It takes a little weeding out of the
garbage that can, and often times will, ruin a good
and beautiful thing. Mutual respect for each others
individuality, a gentle sort of stand-by-your-mate
ethical behavior, and a trust that grows with time ...
from these seeds love can and will most certainly
flourish.
