About Me:
The basics:
I write (mostly history and some musical compositions for piano or pipe organ). I hope to make a living at it, but I keep my feet on the ground as I dream, working away at university,so I'll be able to support myself until that big break comes. And because there are so many interesting things to learn about. :)
I'm a full-blown word and music addict, semi-severe movie addict, with interests in theatre, dance, visual art, etc. All genres, all styles, as long as it makes me feel or think (preferably both), though mindless entertainment is fun as well.
I'm a city guy with a love for nature. I couldn't imagine living too far away from the variety of theatres, stores, restaurants, galleries, and museums, but there's nothing like being out in the wilderness: the fresh air, the scent of pine, no car noise or
electronic hum disturbing the silence...
I mean what I say and say what I mean, and I value that sort of honesty in others. I'm quiet at first, but once I get comfortable with a person it can be difficult to shut me up. ;) My sense of humour tends towards silliness and sarcasm. I'm a practical romantic: I'll go out on a limb for people I care about, but I'm not
neglectful of my own needs. My desk is a mess, but my CDs are always in alphabetical order. How much I like my job is more important than how much money I make. The glass is usually half-full.
What do I want? To get to know people I might not otherwise meet. If I find someone I want to spend the rest of my life with, wonderful. If I just make some new friends, still good. And if I end up with nothing more than I started with, at least I gave it a try. I'm not looking to rush into anything; whatever happens, happens.
