About Me:
Hi, my name is Michael I'm 38 years old, tall,
6'4" Italian/Irish and most of the time dark skinned from outdoor
activities, I love the outdoors. I live in Nanuet, NY 20 miles norht of NYC. I enjoy the beach,
boating, watching sunsets, museums, and what the City has to offer.
Close friends describe me as creative, warm, funny and intelligent. I would
describe myself as very empathetic, perceptive and understanding. I thrive
on an intelligent exchange of ideas and consider myself a good
conversationalist and listener. I have a passion for exploring other
cultures and have, through my current job, visited many parts of the world.
At one time, when in college, I dabbled in the Arts. Mostly fine art and
sold a few works, and commissioned many murals around NY. In my late
twenties I realized art was not for me since I felt I could not raise a
family at the same time. I decided to go into the field of Social Work. I
worked with various age groups for ten years and decided when I was 32 to
change fields once again. Computers seemed to be growing in leaps and
bounds so I concentrated on combining my social skills, empathetic
abilities (try teaching med students computers!) and my knowledge and
started to work at Columbia University Med school. I wrote a book on
computers and seemed to progress in the filed rather fast. After a few
years I have since transferred to working with scientists. I love my job.
And I love what life has to offer in all aspects, specifically helping
others. I have a beach house on the water at the shore and spend most of
my free time boating, relaxing and having fun with my friends and
family. I like to be active in sports, I played minor league ball some
years ago and continue to be active when time permits. I do not watch any
sports, but sometimes attend games. I do not drink and very seldom go to
bars. I do like to dine out a lot, and I enjoying cooking for others. I
consider myself family orientated, I am very close to both my father and
mother.
