About Me:
Hi, I'm an American citizen who will be living in Osaka, Japan starting at the beginning of March, 2002 (just a few days from the time I am writing this). I graduated from the University of California at Berkeley recently, and I am moving to Japan to teach conversational English. One of my favorite passtimes has always been thinking long and hard about life in general; I'm a natural philosopher and for me living is a magical experience. I'm generally a relaxed personality, but I love doing exciting things whenever the opportunity arises. I have many, many interests: most have to do with art and knowledge. I occasionally create art myself, but I tend to view most things from an artistic perspective even when I am not actively creating. I love music intensely, but I do not play any instruments. I am physically active and engage in cardiovascular and resistance training regularly. That mind and body are linked is a fundamental understanding, and exercise is most importantly a meditative activity for me. I am 5' 11" (180.34 cm)and I think I weigh about 175 pounds(78.75 kg)right now. My eyes are blue and my hair is medium-dark brown. An important physical characteristic for some people to be aware of is that I have a great deal of tattoo work on my arms, back and chest. I usually wear long sleeved shirts, however, so there are few opportunities for someone to know this by just looking at me. I have them because I happen to personally like them on myself, but "tattoo culture" has next to nothing of general interest to me. (Whether you are tattooed or not is of absolutely no consequence.) I am a kind person who understands a lot about people--my life has taken me in many directions and taught me a great deal in these 25 short years.
