About Me:
The best way to approach this is to tell you what I enjoy: Hockey,(favourite teams are the Colorado Avalanche and the Dallas Stars, favourite players are Patrick Roy, Ed Belfour, Peter Forsberg, Ray Borque, Brett Hull, Mike Modano, Claude Lemieux, Scott Parker and others), I also like hockeys' "tough guys" (enforcers) and don't mind a good hockey fight; classical music, Glenn Gould (and other types of music, Finnish and Scandinavian bands such as Loituma, Varttina and Hedningarna); good beer, good food, Three Stooges, having fun. I'm very earthy, enjoy physical pleasures, am child free by choice, 46 years old, NOT a skinny beauty queen, (long black hair, pale skin, green eyes, a figure that Renoir would have loved), am a glass smith/artist (creating glass beads with an oxy/propane torch), classical guitarist, and do need lots of solitude. I think it is healthy for people to have private time away from each other. I'm interested in Finland and Finnish poetry - "Kalevala" and am learning to play the kantele. Am studying the Havamal and the Eddas. I collect hockey cards, love model trains (mine is an 'N' scale), Autumn is my favourite time of year, prefer cloudy days, want to be friends via email first. I'm fairly shy. Canadian at heart. I'm single, living with someone, (restricted free agent) but will not go into that here; will answer questions via email. Did I mention that I love hockey? (Smile)
Now for the not-so-good (but honest) stuff:
I'm a night person by choice and by necessity; I must avoid the sun because I have lupus, fibromyalgia and arthritis. I also have bi-polar disorder (manic depression); a disorder that many creative people have. However, it is controlled by meds.
