About Me:
Although I've worked in the insurance industry for nearly ten years, I still have a great sense of humor. Having been alone for seven years after a thirteen year marriage, I feel I'm ready to experience new adventures, meet new friends, and explore new opportunities.
I was born & raised in Kansas City, uprooted, and transplanted into this hotbed of American culture we so mundanely refer to as Springfield. I've been here nine years, and still I feel as if I'm passing through. However, my two kids (14 and 19) have flourished in a small town setting. I'm terribly proud of both my children in their academics and extra curricular sports and interests. They have been what's held me together throughout the bad times. My friends tell me I'm funny and quick-witted. I must say, I'm outgoing, love to laugh, and want nothing more (or less) than to meet an equally intelligent, amusing companion. I don't care for the Three Stooges, though I'm pretty sure I've dated two of them. My friends and family say that I have an hourglass figure. I'd say I'm more like an hour and a half. I'm of average build, green eyes, and my hair color is whatever the box of the month says it is. I love music,(except the irritating twang of 'country') and I occasionally sing in public. I enjoy nights by the fireplace, engrossed in intelligent conversation, or in silence. I've been spotted at the ballet, but I have more fun riding my HD Sportster.
The art of intelligent conversation apparently missed the Ozarks. I'm tired of 'dead-air' phone conversations, and Pet Rocks taking up space on my couch. I'm looking for an articulate, amusing man that can make me laugh. I like a man who knows where he's been, and has a clear vision of where he's going. I'm an independent, professional woman, and I need a man who can appreciate my independence. He appreciates my off the wall humor and worships the water I walk on. He is equally receptive to my adoration of him. In short, I'm looking for that proverbial soulmate.
