About Me:
My name is Michael and I was born on November 4th, 1956. That makes me 42 years young. I have recently returned to Toronto after being away for five and one half years. From June '93 to June '97, I was living in Warsaw, Poland, where I had been sent by the company I was working for, to manage a small investment we had made. From July '97 to August '98, I was in Boston where I completed a one year, full time, executive MBA at Boston College.
I grew up just north of Toronto in Thornhill, and completed an undergraduate degree in History and Political Science at McMaster University in 1980. My last two years at McMaster were paid for through a scholarship from the Military, so as a result I served in the regular Canadian Army until 1985, in Canada, Europe, and with the United Nations Peacekeeping Forces in the Middle East. I held the rank of Captain when I left the Military.
I believe to truly flourish in life, one needs to be in a loving relationship. I take romance seriously and look to my next relationship with the goal of making it a lasting one, based on true love, leading to marriage and family. The Lady would need to be spiritual, sensitive, and sensuous; she would have to be adventurous, enjoy the outdoors and an active lifestyle; be health conscious, open to rational discussions, have a good sense of humor; be independent and at the same time interdependent. The qualities I admire most are honesty and loyalty. I have no tolerance for deceptive or manipulative conduct. Of course there are many other issues such as compatibility of lifestyle, reverence to personal values, physical chemistry, etc., but those are discovered as the relationship grows.
I have been married once before, for the five years while I was in the Army. I was married when I was twenty-three, sepaerated at the age of twenty-eight and divorced at the age of thirty two. The reason for the failure of the marriage were many little things, that added up to one major fact which was; neither of us knew what we were looking for when
