About Me:
Well, I've learned one thing from this process... writing personal ads is not my forte. I suspect my description will get truncated it's so long.
First things first. I have a fourteen-year-old daughter and a twelve-year-old son. They are my world, and I spend a lot of time with them. That will not change until they are through with me. Does that mean I won't have time to date? No... but it does mean that I define myself as a dad first, and I like that, and it's not going to change for a few years. I've got to mold them before I set them loose on the world.
Next, and it's a biggie... I have herpes. Sorry. But if you're in the same boat... I'm looking for you.
Okay, what else am I looking for? I love conversation. One-on-one, focused, exchanges. They can be deep or personal or abstract or just fun. You've experienced stuff I missed... so share. I'm through growing physically, but there's always more to learn. I also have a lot to say (don't worry... I'm easily muted).
I love to laugh, but I love making people laugh even more. That doesn't mean I'll make *you* laugh... I have a dry wit (my mother was British, blame her). Maybe a cross between Dennis Miller and Steven Wright (lots of pretentious zingers... but I mumble them, I guess). Anyway, a sense of humor is sorta necessary to put up with me (and life for that matter).
I like who I am. I'm bright, confident, and an optimistic realist. As for you, well, you need to be sane for the most part, other than that... I'm flexible. I would love it if you were perfect (respond now!), but I don't have a problem with a few idiosyncrasies.
I'm stable. I make good money. I'm neither commitment-phobic nor desperate.
I have zero tolerance for bigots. I will remove myself from the presence of anyone spouting disparaging epithets. Never any exceptions. And I have a tendency to point out to bullies that they are bullies. Okay... smaller bullies.
