About Me:
I am not a bar scene person and have just begun to look at the internet as a way to meet someone to be with (there doesn't seem to be a word in English that really says it all -- companion, lover, friend). I am Marketing Director for an office furniture company and it is my dream job. For now anyway. It is very creative and I have lots of freedom with what I do. I am 43, divorced (7 years ago), have no children and don't plan on having any and have 2 cats (my only local family). I am looking for a mate to explore with -- life and each other -- that's how I feel about this search. I love to travel, though I don't get to do as much as I would like. From the time I was young, my parents took my brother and me to various historical/geological sites around the Southwest (I grew up in New Mexico). During college I took one backpacking trip to Guatemala/Mexico, and I've been to Europe only once. After graduating with a degree in Art, I moved to the New York area for the excitement of the city, the art scene, theatre, etc. I can ski (intermediate -- no black diamonds for me!), I love to cook for people and throw dinner parties/larger parties, I like movies of various types, and I don't know what I'd do without a good book to read.
