Hello Maria,
My name is Yves and I am 27.
I live in Brussels (Belgium) and I also work their as an IT Consultant. I studied Engineer at the university of Brussels.
What I like about Brussels is that there are a lot of cultural activities going on. So every day, you can attend some theatre play, a dance play, a concert, … .
I have the luck to have a lot of holidays, which I all spent travelling. A week ago I went skiing in Italy with some friends. Nice pistes, a lot of sun and great après-ski (that is the name they give to the parties after the skiing).
Last october I visited part of Central Americ with a friend. We went to Guatemala, Honduras, Belize and the southern part of Mexico. It was really very nice travelling through countries that are very different from the western european ones.
When I travel I always travel low budget and move around all the time, so I can meet a lot of interesting people and see a lot of things. For me it was really astonishing to sit on the top of a Maya Temple and see only but tropical forest around you, when the sun goes down. The day after we climbed the temple before the sun had risen and waited for all the animals (monkeys and births and … ) to wake up. We had to speak Spanish there, because that is the only language the local people speak. Because I have been already to Spain, I spoke already a little bit Spanish. I studied Spanish before we left and now it’s going better and better.
My mother tongue is Dutch. In Belgium there are three official languages, Dutch, French and German. I speak well French and English and a little bit German and Spanish.
Playing tennis, I do since I was 10 years old and I still like it a lot. My other hobbies are dancing,
eating at a good restaurant, listening to music, reading, going to concerts, watching movies, ... .
All those interests are the reason I don't watch tv that much.
