About Me:
I haven't dated in quite a while. Much of the last year or so has been spent making drastic adjustments in my habits, personality and emotional mechanisms. After a long period of isolation and transformation, I am moving to Europe (March 2006) to begin a new life in earnest, act on new plans and hopefully find love. I'm adequately satisfied with who I am at this point, but I can't say that there won't be more adjustments and improvements. I think one of the big ideas behind being human - aside from expressing the capacity for love and compassion - is directing one's will toward constant self-improvement and ever-higher goals, whatever they may be. Anyway, I've had enough massive transformation for now. I need to relax at this level for a bit, get comfortable with who I've become and invest myself in new relationships. Hopefully, one of these relationships will be of the romantic variety.
I am an independent creative professional. I write, make music and cook. Sometimes I write about making music and cooking. I maintain a blog with professional aims and editorial standards, write for magazines and have several book and music projects in development. I'm passionate and driven in my life's work, often to the detriment of my bank account - but I believe that the pursuit of rich, rewarding experiences in life is the best way to attain wealth if it's to be had at all. If, on my deathbed, I'm a pauper, I'll have the memories of rich, rewarding experiences... and no regrets about time wasted chasing money and shallow goals. I used to work as a chef, but the culinary industry can be so horrible. I'd rather just cook for friends and loved ones. Maybe you'd like me to cook for you... or write you a sappy poem, perhaps?
When I arrive in Europe, I'll be doing a bit of travel for a while to research some book projects underway, but I'll spend the majority of my time between Budapest, Zagreb and Dalmatia. If you're in any of these areas, I'd enjoy hearing from you and getting together for some laughs. B
