About Me:
Merry Christmas!!
I am searching for a straight, adult male that is trustworthy, financially-stable and honest. Hopefully he will share my interest in living in a rural environment somewhere in Oregon's fertile Willamette Valley. I have a very in-depth, hand's on, experience as a Backyard Farmer. I'm talking about having the knowledge about how to raise farm animals and poultry on a small farm. All of my life has been centered about living in the Country. I have lots and lots of hobbies. I like to garden: working with the soil to improve it...making a "working" compost pile, raising excellent vegetables and beautiful flowers. It's a Great Life, living on a small farm. I also like to go fishing for bass, crappie, bluegill and trout...unfortunately, this year my 11' aluminum rowboat was mashed just a little on one side this winter, while it was moored to the bank of a small private lake. The high winds caused two good-sized tree tops to come crashing down on my boat. One of them glanced off the gunwale, on the right side just in front of the oarlock. The other treetop landed in the middle of my boat causing it to be submerged on the left-stern corner. I was able to remove this log by using the bow line rope and fashioning a trucker's knot to the stump of one of the trees and when the log was raised, I was able to gently move the boat out of harm's way. The boat is now up on dryland and will stay out of the water until I can figure out how to repair the damage. I like a challenge, once in awhile!! I also like the privacy of living in a semi-remote area, yet still within just a few miles from town. I am currently in the market for a new small farm. I'd like to find a place that has gently sloping pastures, a decent house/outbuildings and clean pastures. I also enjoy other activities besides farming. I like to go dancing, especially the slow dancing. I guess it's the hugs that I miss the most, now that I am a single person. My family and friends are also important people in my life.
