As I sit along the shoreline of Kailua Beach, the tradewinds gently blowing through my long red hair, I realize that I do not know your name or who you are...I wish you were beside me to talk about your day, your hopes, your dreams or a fond memory from your childhood.... I hear your laughter, I see your smile, the twinkle in your eye lets me know that a surprise may await me when we return home together... A wave comes crashing in and the warm water gently caresses my toes...We see our friends playing with their golden retriever and we run in the sand to join them... The sun is setting behind the lush green mountains and I point out my favorite shade of blue in the colorful sky... You talk to me about places you have traveled and memories of friends you have made... I gingerly tell you about my favorite little Italian restuarant and the cozy atmosphere ... You begin telling me about a concert you once attended and how you layed on the grass under the stars while the music played... I pull the cork out of the bottle, carefully tie the ribbon around the middle and softly kiss the note I have written... I close my eyes and toss the bottle in the ocean and watch as the waves carry it out to sea... I shall return tomorrow at sunset in hope to find a new bottle, with a note from a man who wants to live out his dreams with me.
