About Me:
Hi! I'm David, and I live in Deltona, Florida, and I live alone. My son joined the Navy two years ago, and is currently stationed in Japan. I am a teacher in the public school system, and work at a special school for dropout prevention. I like my job very much. I teach many different subjects. It is a full-year contract, so I don't get as much time off as other teachers, but I get enough.
I am 5ft. 11in. tall, and weigh 170. I have dark hair with some grey, some call it "salt and pepper". I am in ok shape, but need to do more exercise than I do now. I love to hike trails in the Ocala National Forest, go camping, ride a motorcycle, and boat, target shoot, and bike ride, although finding a partner to do stuff is sometimes hard. I have a few close friends, but know a lot of people. I have a simple, honest, down to earth personality, but also enjoy splurging on a nice dinner and glass of wine. I like to play board games, like chess, backgammon, and sorry, but sometimes I get too competitive, but still, I am not mad if I lose. I like to watch movies, either at home or in the theater. I am not that big on the theme parks, mostly because of the crowds and the long waits.
I need someone who is honest, thoughtful, sincere, and gentle and sweet, yet strong when it is needed. That pretty much describes me, too. I don't like people who say they will do one thing, and then do another. I am learning to speak French, and have been to Quebec, Canada several times, and I find it very beautiful, and the people friendly, and the food delicious! Plus, I like to practice my French, although at times, it is very confusing. I took my Mom there two years ago, and we had a great time at a festival, and went whale watching. I took my son there too, one year. My Dad won't go, mostly because he hates to fly! Me? If I had one of those little ultralight planes, I'd go up!
I miss my son very much, and he is scheduled to come to the US soon for a Navy school in Chicago. I can't wait to see him. He is a fin
