About Me:
First of all, I've been highly reluctant to compose
this profile. I've responded to a few ads previously
and the individuals either had no interest whatsoever
or had some undefined agendas that I was incapable of
fathoming. The way it goes.
Okay, now down to the essential truths about me.
I am Black/African-American, 46 years of age and retain
remnants of a once muscular and athletic form. In other
word I could stand to lose some weight. I smoke, but
control it in the company of nonsmokers. I drink
socially and am particularly fond of vodka and tonic
with lime.
I came to El Paso 2 years ago when my company decided
to close my plant in California and move the products
to a small existing local site. I came here to manage
site construction and act as technical liaison to the
engineering/construction contractor. I was ultimately
offered, and accepted, the position of Facilities
Manager. At the time my wife and I had been separated
for 2 years. My divorce was finalized earlier this
year. I have 3 children, 2 from my wife's previous
marriage and 1 from our union. My daughter, 26, is a
teacher, my eldest son, 21, is a college student and my
younger son, 18, is in the process of 'finding
himself'. He recently moved-in with me. All great kids,
the other 2 living in California and missed very much
on a daily basis by their father.
During the course of the construction project I was
working 14 - 18 hours a day. No way to live. That has
finally subsided and I now find myself lacking for
companionship. Work is still demands a good deal of
time, but probably for lack of a fulfilling offset. I
have a few friends at work, but the level of my
position limits my capability to socialize and
interact. Believe me, no snobbery here, just a smart
way of doing business.
