Smart, funny, artsy - if I could cook (which I can't),
I'd be practically perfect. Or to be perfect, I could
just lower my standards for myself. But that would not
do, would it?

I am an attractive 39 year-old d/w/m living in a St.
Paul suburb. Long ago BA was in Theatre and have worked
in the broadcast industry for the past few years.
Really enjoy the arts. Musical tastes run from Patsy
and Willie to modern/alternative (not really into jazz,
rap, opera or serious country). Radio is usually on
Cities 97 and current faves are Kim Richey, Semisonic,
Beth Orton. Music collection full of Elvis Costello,
Springsteen, Squeeze, Crowded House, etc. Also enjoy
movies/videos, some indie (Rushmore, Waiting for
Guffman, My Life As A Dog, Bettie Blue) some mainstream
(Austin Powers, Three Kings).
As for TV, loved and miss Seinfeld, enjoy The Simpsons,
try to catch Sports Night, Once and Again, Ally McBeal,
Friends and ER. Also, like the new Freaks and Geeks.
Really dislike stuff like Drew Carey and audience
hootalongs (ala Married With Children). Lowest common
denominator is not for me.
I do some creative writing - song lyrics (play guitar
badly and sing worsely [if worsely is not a word, it
should be as it accurately depicts my vocal stylings]),
have attempted some bad screenplays, etc.
Am 5'10, 200 pounds, shorter dark blonde hair, blue
eyes, glasses, earring, dazzling smile that needs to
see the light of day more often.
Likes - my kids, the fall - like the crispness, biking,
golf, reading (suspense, mysteries, comedies,
biographies), Chinese food, Sunday papers and Sunday
mornings in general, occasional treat coffee (have
weaned myself off the daily grind).
Dislikes - negative souls, rudeness, Top Forty radio,
obviousness, materialism.
