About Me:
I've tried to think of something profound to say, but the truth is I crave to be in a real relationship again, with mutual love and respect and fun!
I made art for a living, and it's been a good life. Last year I made a big change, sold most of my possessions and moved to FL to join staff at the Belleair Mission. There are things I'd love to get back into, like gardening and writing, and I'd love to travel for fun (I'm always on the road for the business). I've got a good, sometimes raunchy sense of humor, love words, love to travel and love to stay home. I can cook and sometimes even like it, especially with company. I'm a flaming liberal tree hugging can-crusher, and while I like to encourage tolerance, I have to admit I'm not very tolerant when it comes to intolerance! There are many ways to be in this life, and I don't presume to have all the answers.
My musical tastes are eclectic, although I do like a good story. I've got such a range of music on my ipod, from Talking Heads to Jefferson Airplane, Billie Holiday, Glenn Miller, Alison Krause, Leonard Cohen, Harry Belafonte, Lyle Lovett, CSNY, Cold Play. Live music is terrific, as well as live theater, which I don't see nearly as much as I'd like. I've pretty much given up on television, but admit to watching "Six Feet Under" on dvd :). I'm convinced that plot lines are not nearly as important as the writing and acting... a movie or show can have the goofiest, most nonsensical and ridiculous plot, but if the writing and acting are good it'll be great. Popcorn is not optional.
First Date
I'm one of those people who love to discuss a film or play. Actually, the exchanging of ideas is a favorite pasttime (listening too). A wonderful evening would include good food, interesting entertainment, scintillating conversation, a little wine, great sex, and a snuggle with talk of the day while falling asleep. Who I Would Like To Meet:
It's pretty simple. I want to be with someone who
wants to be with me. I don't mean in a clinging vine sort of way -- actually, I think it's good when each has their own pursuits -- but I'd love to find someone who feels I compliment their life, and visa versa.
Intelligence is important to me, which is pretty
subjective, but I'm looking for a man who has a good mind, likes to consider possibilities, is open for debate on dicey topics, and can stand his own in a snowball fight. A good work ethic is important, but so is a good play ethic!
