About Me:
I'm a romantic free-thinking professional who is responsible and articulate. I'm a passionate, loyal, attentive, strong and generous lover. I'm flexible and an improvisational thinker but I’m solid when my values are at stake. I have a well developed sense of humor. I have chosen to work for causes that I feel philosophically consistent with such as Hospice and the Farm Worker's Union. I'm generally clear about my purposes. I spent 7 years as a single father of 3 and my youngest recently turned 18 and moved out. I love children and it's been a bit of a struggle getting used to the empty nest. I'm self-confident and proud of what I've accomplished but I am self-aware enough of my own short-comings to avoid arrogance. Spiritual and emotional growth is important to me. I have and do measure my success as a human being by how well I've been able to live up to my values rather than by any materialistic yardstick. The search for meaning has been and remains a lifelong quest. I love the outdoors and ALL kinds of music. Canoeing, hiking and camping rank high although I appreciate a soft bed a little more every year. I read a lot and enjoy gardening. I enjoy used book stores, antique shops, and art and history museums. I especially enjoy quite evenings with a loved one, maybe reading to one another or listening to music. I read excellent and write passable poetry. I'll send a picture upon request but won't answer anyone who makes it without otherwise responding to what I've written here. I'm strictly average in the looks department and probably fall somewhere between the rugged-outdoorsy and the mildly disheveled professorial look.
