About Me:
I've written this ad twice already tonight. Thank god for delete keys. It's tough enough to categorize another person, let alone try to boil down all of one's own thoughts and ideals and passions and goals into a few brief sentences.
So instead, let's go about it this way. I think you'll get a pretty good sense of me. Here are some things I do:
Travel all over the world, when I can. Read good books. Sit in the cheap seats for concerts all summer long at the Bowl, while drinking really good wine. Celebrate every moment I have with my incredible daughter. Scuba dive. Go to plays. Eat at offbeat restaurants, preferably those that don't scrimp on the garlic. Spend weekends out of town, at least once in a while. Rent videos. Argue politics from a decidedly leftist perspective. Ski better than most people. Work sometimes long hours at an interesting job. Talk on the phone. Make love all night long, or for 10 furious minutes when we're already late to wherever we're supposed to be. Lie on beaches and sit in hot tubs (wearing clothes assuming custom requires it). Listen to NPR on my back porch. Sleep in once in a while because it feels too good to get out of bed, not because I'm too tired to stand up. Look around for people who can stimulate me intellectually as well as physically, since physical stimulation really starts between the temples anyway.
Those are some of the highlights, although really I'm just getting started. But that will do for now. So tell me about you, and whether enough of those things are on your list that we might have some sort of foundation, or might at least enjoy each other's company once in a while. And tell me whether your list has enough other things on it that we might have the ability to show each other new experiences, new delights, new passions. I'm up for an adventure, whether it's a day in the mountains or a lifetime of exploring.
