About Me:
Though my degree is in teaching [secondary] instead I opted for an interesting job in the arts (sculpture), which is taxing, but fulfilling in many ways. (Art doesn't pay well, but so far I'm still here..) I must tell you I'm mid 40s, a good looking guy (so they say…actually, pretty cute I’m told- you decide if I send you a pic) appear to be mid 30’s, not overweight, 5'9', hazel eyes, short trimmed brown/auburn beard... I like music, play blues and Celtic, build and sail wooden boats. Not a great sports fan, but love soccer [I consider it the best game for many reasons, my 14 year old is amazing to watch].
I also must tell you that I have been married for a long time and have a passel of kids out the door (more than the three still home), youngest is 12. They are great folks, and I don't want to hurt them, so I've been living in a marriage with no real heart to heart communication with a staunchly Catholic partner unable to share the important things. Currently seeking divorce proceedings, which are beginning to come about. At present, I know that’s a problem for folks interested in long term relationships, but at this point just getting to know new folks is what I’m about, as well as being honest. Open mindedness and ability to communicate an appreciation of the good things in life, small and large, are necessary to someone I would like to be with.
Things important to me are those of any man, but particular to me is that I am fairly well read (but not stuffy), very hands on, keep very busy, need to share the beauty I see (and hear), love good art, love to touch (non-sexual I mean, in it’s place)-i.e. 'connect' physically, non verbally.. [laughing, notes, guitar melodies, massage, tickles, letters, chaste kisses, rocking chairs for two, poetry, quiet times of warm silence and comfortable connectedness]. I am a doer, but can converse too. I don't like: network TV (love movies though), conflict (had enough of that), double/veiled message communication… Write if you like.
