About Me:
Hello, my name is Bill. First of all, I would like to thank you for thinking enough of me to take time out of your day to read my profile and get to know me. I am currently stationed in Iraq trying very hard to survive my third combat tour. At the age of 40 I re-enlisted in the Army Reserves because of the attacks on September 11, 2001. I decided that day to put my life and all my tomorrows on hold and if called upon give all my tomorrows away.
I am kind, generous and honest man. I still live my life by the values I learned in the United States Marine Corps; duty, honor, commitment, courage and integrity. I view life as one continual maturation process. I keep my eye on the horizon and look forward to the next day. I see no reason to relive the past. I can’t change it so why dwell on it, just learn from it and move on.
I have been given many opportunities to see and experience the world. I have trekked the Sinai Desert, walked the streets of Jerusalem, spent Christmas Eve in Bethlehem, scuba dived in the Red Sea, climbed the highest mountain in Germany, experienced the kindness of the South Korean people, shopped the Ginzas of Japan and have bore witness to the birth of a free and democratic Iraq.
I choose to be an active participant in the world. When I am older sitting on my porch drinking scotch smoking a cigar reflecting on my life I don’t want to have any regrets. I will know that I lived life and didn’t set back to learn about life or the world from a book or TV.
Physical fitness plays a huge role in my personal and professional life. I workout everyday, there is nothing like a good sweat or burn. I can't wait to get home so I can go for a 30-mile bike ride or a long run in the country and renew my gym membership. I would love to find a woman that shares my passion for the outdoors and physical activities. I love physical and mental challenges. I love mathematics, so there it is my one admitted bit of weirdness.
