About Me:
I have a dilemma, but I have made a career out of turning difficulties into an advantage. I have been a good and faithful husband for 12 years to a woman I called a friend, lover, and wife. Cutting to the chase, a year ago she told me that she was no longer interested in men physically and sexually. We pretended for a few months that the non-sexual aspects of our relationship would be reason enough to remain together. That did not work. We parted less than best friends but nothing approaching enemies. So now here I am a mature, strong, gifted, emotionally and financially stable Black Man in his mid-forties on his own. I spent the last year focusing on me and thinking about what I really want. After spending over 20 years in the Army I have been around the world several times so I have a worldview that is different from the average person that has never left their hometown. While finding a soul-mate is a goal my immediate objective is to find someone that I can expresses my sensual and sensitive self with, someone that can hold my attention mentally as well as stimulate me physically. I believe chivalry is not dead it is just a lost art that I still practice. Something cultivated as an Army Officer, I retired from active duty in 1996 and I’m working on my second career. It has been said that I have a good sense of humor. I take work seriously and have a strong work ethic but my playtime is just as important. Thanks to my first career I am well traveled and I still enjoy traveling. I like to play chess but presently I don’t have a steady playing partner. I enjoy card games like Spades, Hearts, and Pinochle (not just the PC versions). I enjoy going to sporting events as well as playing a little basketball, volleyball, and tennis. I have been known to jog a bit and even enter a race if the mood and cause hits me. I consider myself a hopeful (as opposed to hopeless) romantic. Candle light dinners, and interesting conversations in front of a fire are the kind of things that get my juices stirring.
