About Me:
Hello, have you had any luck meeting anyone on this
site? I have not. You have a cute smile. I
graduated from Franklin College. I live in
Columbus, Indiana. I am a widow, my wife passed
away 5 years ago from a massive heart attack very
suddenly and unexpectedly. Honestly, I have
struggled for the past 5 years since her passing. I
have 4 grown children and soon to b 5 grandchildren.
For me there are 3 pillars in all relationships. I
believe in honesty, communication and intimacy.
Honesty and communication are so important in
building and supporting any relationship. Having an
honest relationship where mutual sharing is common
is the foundation of a strong and vibrant
relationship. Intimacy is the glue that holds
relationships together. Everyday intimacy builds
friendships, partnerships and companionships.
Holding hands, cuddling, hugging, talking,
listening, shared activities and common goals are
the true foundations in any relationship and leads
to a love relationship. I am Catholic and I am a
Benedictine Oblate which is a lay monk. It takes a
year of study to become an Oblate. I am tied to a
monastery in southern Indiana. Monks live in a
monastery and make vows. Oblates live their normal
lives living a simple, prayerful, grateful and
thankful life of sacrifice of self, service to
others and putting other’s needs before our own. As
oblates we make 3 promises; Stability of heart,
Fidelity to the spirit of the monastic life and
Obedience to will of God. I spend my free time
volunteering at the local hospital, local food
pantry and local homeless shelter. I would love
to talk and see if we have similar views and have a
connection.
