Okay ladies, here's your guy!
I own a Betty Crocker cookbook, and know how to use it! I do laundry, clean house, do finances, and do the shopping. I own a cleaning supply collection under the sink that won't quit. I'll strip, mop and wax a floor. My motto is: "when I see it, I clean it". I love to shop for the groceries, searching for the quality value. I can get the car on the road, but don't hesitate to use my AAA card and cell phone. That's the skills.
As for the equipment, I'm 5 ft 9"+, short brown hair (the gray is arriving, finally!), blue eyes (with contacts), and about 210 lbs. Last year I did a three-month fitness program and got down to 187 (Body for Life) with nutrition, aerobics and weight lifting. Gotta start that again. I've lifted weights and jogged most all my life, so I have the endurance! I'm now 49, but the age thing is an attribute (ain't gonna do that anymore!).
I have raised four kids, three boys (yes!) and one beautiful daughter. All were raised with a work ethic and don't talk back. They all have the freedom to tell me what they think and be their own person though. The oldest is 22, and on his own and continuously employed for the past two years. My 19 year old is also living with me He works full time and takes care of himself. My sixteen-year-old boy is a gem, into athletics and his friends. He & I are best bud's! My daughter decided to stay with Mom, but we're still Dad and "favorite girl".
I enjoy an occasional drink (beer, wine), and an infrequent good cigar.
Mom left in March 2001, after 29 years of marriage, saying, "I need to find out who I am". I finished that road back in the late 60's! Been to the lawyer and just need to detail out the paperwork, no going back. No bitterness or resentments.
So, there's a new road in front of me. The kid-raising is pretty much over and I'm looking to that last third (fourth?) of my life for grandkids and myself. I'd like to start getting into some social service thing with my future time. I've taught Sunday
