About Me:
My husband recently walked out and it's probably too
early, but I'm just tired of having no one to talk to!
So I'm looking to make a friend first, and then take
things nice and slow. I'm not carrying the tiniest
smidge of a torch for my soon-to-be-ex: stick a fork in
that relationship, it's done.
I am a professional pianist, vocalist and aspiring
composer, but to make ends meet I lead tours in
historic Annapolis, lead music workshops for children, and write for magazines upon occasion.
My children are in their early teens, and spending time with them is why I work such a hotch-potch of jobs: flexibility is key!
I love to read and devour books on nearly every
subject, although I'm not much on self-help, "new age" anything or romance novels. I read a lot of history and science and have always had a sneaking desire to be a geologist.
My education and background are heavy on philosophy and the arts, I make my own tortillas and eggrolls, have a passion for good Burgundies and have been known to celebrate a good single-malt ... sometimes, perhaps, a
little too much. I can't stand modern jazz, adore
anything by J. S. Bach, wish I could raise Bonsai trees and love animals of all type and description - at present, I have only two cats, but that probably won't last.
Can't think of anything else to say and I've probably said too much!
Who I Would Like To Meet:
I would love to meet a man who is passionate about the
arts, enjoys a good philosophical debate, reads widely
and has a wide range of interests. I'm not terribly
athletic, but I love hiking and walking and similar
quiet, introspective activities.
