About Me:
Just passed the magic 60 and somehow find it amazing and grateful that I have lived so long - yet looking forward to what is in store.
In retrospect life has never been as much a joy and delight as it is now - seems as though I have been in "training' and just "graduated".
I have been single for more than a decade - focusing on career, home, and self. Children, as you may surmise, are grown and raising their own families, producing 5 grandchildren along the way. Both my son and daughter live a day away [by car}. For their stability and success in life, their having 'found their brass rings", I am grateful - as I am for all I have - health, business, home, a semblance of security in what seems to be an ever-changing landscape and world of elusive and evolving values and qualities.
My time is filled with the requirements of my job, my home, reading - history, current issues, stories about interesting people and events, music. Enjoy an occasional movies, music [Classical, R & B, classic rock], projects [refinishing furniture, scavenging for "those special things we just can't live without], dining, cooking, taking care of one adopted kitty [who finds me often holding doors and calling her to come in - for she is a true outdoor cat], and the demands of keeping heart and hand together.
Would like to find "that" person - one who is reliable, lives close and visits often, who shares some of my interests and brings some of her own to the table. She needs be confidant, amused and amusing, intense at times and relaxed at others. Personality would include [hopefully] maturity coupled with some vestiges of wonder, a willingness to be available [emotionally, spiritually, physically, etc] and yet the integrity which precludes being needy; someone who counts friends on fingers and contempories by the score. An individual who is more desirous of being viewed as an evolving person as opposed to being static. I see myself as flexible and interested - willing to meet halfway - literally and figuratively.
