About Me:
I will undoubtedly be the new guy in town as of late April 2002. I am moving to Flagstaff from Austin, TX and while I have passed by/through/over many times, I haven't any roots or familiarity (read friends/companions). So I will start from scratch here, and hopefully things can evolve in a positive way.
I am an ex military officer with an unusual background. You'll have to coax that part out of me. I was married - and have 2 wonderful (albeit teenage) sons to show for it. But they do not stay with me except some short summer vacations. I am an outdoor person, though so much of my worktime is spent indoors (eeesh). I love to ride and have multiple motorcycles (3 Harleys). I am world traveled, open, honest, over-educated, yet street smart. I certainly understand that this world is largely gray - it is not pure black and white.....and it can't be forced that way.
I certainly agree with the basic freedoms in this country - and spent a good portion of my life protecting them; yet I lean toward many of the social attitudes and ways of people elsewhere in the world. Americans in general have established quite a reputation of "pseudo-Puritanism" that shows how hypocritical we appear in the eyes of our global neighbors. Oh, what life holds in store for the ones that know how to live it...... !!!
